The Tri-Institutional Consulting Club (TICC) is the consulting club for advanced degree students and post-doctoral researchers of three biomedical research institutions—Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Rockefeller University—informally referred to as the Tri-I.
The TICC aims to provide support to our 500+ members in their transition from academic scientists to management consultants through coaching, community, and mentorship.

If you are interested in applying your scientific analytical skills to creatively solve impactful industry problems, this is the right club for you! We help our members in achieving their career goals through regular on-campus and virtual events, hands-on training and through our club resources.
- Join our TICC season kickoff events in Spring and Fall, where we introduce you to management consulting, work through case examples and break down the recruitment process.
- Network with Generalist Consultants or Life Science Specialists in one of our Consulting-Company-on-Campus events throughout the spring and summer and learn more about the amazing work that is done at BCG, McKinsey, Lumanity, LEK, IQVIA, ZS, and more...
- Look out for our recruitment events during the summer, where we invite consulting companies to break down their job and internship application process for you! Also join our Alumni panels, where recent Tri-I graduates talk about the daily life of a consultant, their company and how they mastered the recruitment process.
- Get started preparing for your case and fit interviews with the help of our career workshops (Business resume and fit interview prep) in collaboration with the Weill Cornell Career Office.
- Hone your casing skills by attending our bi-weekly 1-1 casing practice sessions and monthly case-walkthrough sessions, where we or an consultant alumni will solve a case in a beginner friendly group setting.
- Take advantage of our comprehensive resource library including >150 case book pdfs, casing guides, live casing videos, discount codes for consulting preparation websites and 30+ hard copy books on consulting, case prep, corporate strategy and more you can rent for free.
- Sign up for our newsletter and our slack channel to become a member and stay informed about all consulting events in the Tri-I, internship opportunities in NYC, and major application deadlines in the current application cycle.

Birdwatching Club seeks to foster an appreciation of wildlife in our back yard: Central Park and other local settings. Our mission is to inspire curiosity and cultivate a sense of wonder among our members in the diverse bird species that exist within our own surroundings.

We lead birdwatching tours during fall and spring migrations that can be appreciated by first-timers and experienced birdwatchers alike. Club-owned binoculars will be available to club members on birdwatching tours. We hope to build an inclusive and welcoming community through regular group outings and excursions where everyone can learn, share, and grow together as we appreciate nature.

The goal of the Weill Cornell book club is to create a community around individuals that like to read. We aim to connect students together who may not have the opportunity to meet otherwise, and provide a space for conversation. Additionally, we want to give students the opportunity to read something other than scientific papers, to give ourselves a much needed break from lab and the rigors of graduate school and relax. Many students tell us that they’ve been meaning to read more, and so our mission is to motivate these students to do so. Lastly, in recent years we have expanded our mission to also include hosting events that are not just a more traditional book discussion, such as our book swap, which is a more social even that includes donations to the local library.

The Cornell Isotopes Soccer Club is an athletic club where members of the Tri-I community play as a team to compete in city-wide coed recreational soccer leagues all year round. We currently have two teams and games are usually at night once a week either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (for the weekday team) or Sundays (for the Sunday team). We decide as a team what league we sign up for based on preference (e.g. weekday vs. weekend games, location of games, number of players on the field at once, etc.). Cost is usually about $160 per person for a 2 month season.

Interest in our club is quite high, and due to the pay-to-play nature, we cap the number of people per squad at around 15 people per team so that everyone gets enough game time. People that are interested in joining can reach out to Jacob Ferreira (jaf4002@med.cornell.edu) to be added to the waitlist.

JSOC typically hosts communal Shabbat dinners, as well as celebrates holidays and connects with the New York Jewish Community. The Music and Medicine Initiative is a student-run / faculty-advised organization that currently provides musical outlets for members of the Tri-Institutional community (WCM / New York Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Rockefeller University) in New York City. We currently consist of 100+ active members and provide a multitude of programs / resources for members; this includes: the WCM Music and Medicine Orchestra, the WCM Chamber Music Society (classical / non-classical ensembles), hospital outreach opportunities, and generally connecting musicians in the area.

The Tri-Institutional Biotech Club (TRIBC) is a student organization in operation for over 20 years, with global members in academia, biotech, non-profits, and venture capital. We are on a mission to bridge the gap between industry and academia and provide the education, skills, and network for students to become future leaders in biotech. We strive to foster a community of members with a shared interest in biotechnology and healthcare within the Tri-I Area (Memorial Sloan Kettering, Rockefeller University, and Weill Cornell Medicine). Through our events, we engage discussions on various cutting-edge biotechnologies and the future trends of the healthcare system.

The mission of the Student Volleyball Club is to provide students in the Tri-I area with the opportunity to play volleyball. The club organizes co-ed indoor volleyball matches in Olin Hall Gym Court (York Avenue & 69th Street) on a weekly basis. We go directly from warmups to playing games non-stop! We meet on Sundays from 4-7pm and are open to all levels. The more experienced players will be more than happy to help you improve and learn some technique! We also have an Intermediate+ Day for more skilled players on Wednesday evenings from 8:30-11pm. Come and check out the team’s level on Sunday if you are not sure!

The Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights (WCCHR) is a student-run clinic dedicated to providing pro bono forensic medical, gynecologic, and mental health evaluations to victims of persecution seeking asylum in the United States. To date, WCCHR has conducted over 1000 evaluations from over 75 countries and trained more than 900 students to evaluate clients for signs of physical and psychological trauma. 95% of our clients who have been to court have been granted asylum.
